Brett Lee was born on November 8, 1976 to Bob and Helen Lee. His mother Helen was a trained piano teacher and used to teach Brett Lee, piano along with his two brothers Grant Lee and Shane Lee. Brett lee was more interested in cricket even when he was young. He developed his interest for the game from his brother Shane Lee, who also has played for Australia. From his early age Brett Lee developed a passion for fast bowling.

Brett Lee is also a Suit Salesman at Barclays Menswear. He also plays guitar for a music band. Some of the CD's released by this band includes Bring it On, Can't Bowl, Can't Throw, Eleven and Six and Out. His hobbies include watching movies, fashion and fresh water fishing.
