Gilchrist's aggressive stroke play makes him one of the dangerous players. He settles down very quickly and goes after the bowling attack. A natural hitter of the ball, he loves playing fast bowlers rather than spinners and when he decides to cut loose, he is one of the entertaining batsmen to watch.
